In addition we keep our own address at five offices across Austria – Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg and Innsbruck – for handing over and returning originals in person, and work by post in every other Austrian city. Your city isn't listed? We work across Austria digitally – get in touch.

Part of the Fachübersetzungsdienst group: besides Austria we operate from our Berlin office across Germany and from Baar across Switzerland. For a certified translation in Germany or Switzerland, just contact us – same fixed price, same process.

One country, one city, one fixed price.

Whether a fixed office or drop-off by arrangement: volume, processing and pricing logic stay the same everywhere.

How we work

Independent of location, identical in process.

For most authorities and courts, the delivered paper version with stamp and signature is the authoritative one; a personal drop-off is not required for it. Where an on-site appointment makes sense – for extensive or particularly sensitive documents, say – our offices and offices are open by arrangement.

This combines the reach of a translation service operating across Austria with the accessibility of a local contact: your project is looked after by a fixed contact person, regardless of the city you are in. Certified translations are always produced by authorised translators; the certified translation (§ 14 SDG) is recognised across Austria by authorities and courts.

“Our sites are scattered across Europe, and our applicants come from even more countries. Being able to hand over originals in person when needed while everything still runs digitally made the decision easy – one contact, one fixed price, whatever the city.”

Personally reachable, equally reliable everywhere

Locations with their own address we mark as Office; in all other cities we are there for you as a drop-off point by arrangement – for handing over and returning originals in person. So you can see at a glance where in-person submission is possible. The digital handling, the binding price and the processing are identical at every location. See references →

FAQ

Locations – frequently asked questions.

Do I have to visit an office in person for a certified translation?

No. Most jobs run fully digitally: you upload the document or send it by post, and you receive the certified translation with stamp and signature as an advance PDF plus the original by post. Submitting in person at one of our locations is only necessary on request and by appointment.

Is there an FÜD office in my city?

We have a fixed address at the listed office locations. In every other Austrian city we work digitally and by post, with document drop-off by arrangement – the price and processing are identical.

What does a certified translation cost?

The price depends on volume, language direction, field and deadline. As a guide, translations start from € 0.89 per standard line; after a brief review we name a binding fixed price including certification, advance PDF and postal delivery. Details on costs →

Do I also need an apostille?

That depends on the target country and document. An apostille is issued solely by the competent authority or Regional Court – the FÜD does not issue apostilles, but advises whether one is needed and delivers the translation in a recognisable form. More on certified translation →

Are you reachable in Austria and Switzerland too?

Yes. Besides our Berlin office we have our own addresses in Vienna and Baar and work under the law applicable in each country – in Austria with court-sworn and certified translators under Section 14 SDG, in Switzerland notarially certified.

How quickly do I get my document back?

After a brief review we name a binding deadline. Standard certificates we often deliver within a few working days, urgent texts on request via 24-hour express subject to feasibility.
